Principal & Creator of CCDA
Judy was born in South Africa & came to Australia when she was only 3 years old. Soon after her arrival in Australia Judy developed an obsession for ballet. She began classes at the age of 5 and soon fell in love with the dance style. She quickly rose through the ranks and was chosen many times for solo roles during her schools concerts. By 15 Judy was already considering auditioning for the Australian Ballet school but with some terrible circumstances couldn't attend the highly regarded school despite being offered a position even without auditioning. Judy went on to model for swimwear, took to the catwalk and continued classes at the National Theatre Ballet School. In 1986 she joined forces and later married singing superstar Jamie Redfern and went on to have a booming performing arts academy for over 30 years. After falling ill in 2010 and realising she wanted to spend more time with her children she and Jamie decided to close their school. Judy decided to have another crack at creating her dream school in 2015 and thus, Curtain Call Dance Academy was created.
